Congratulations are in tall order for spotlight-shy Natalie Portman and her dancer-choreographer beau Benjamin Millepied.
The pair, who have largely kept their relationship under wraps, reportedly wed this past Saturday in an intimate Jewish ceremony in scenic Big Sur, Calif.
Portman, 31, and Millepied, 35, said “I do” around 8 p.m. Saturday before a gathering of family and friends, among them bold-faced names like Ivanka Trump, People reports.
Other details of the hush-hush ceremony are not available.
The nuptials may come as a surprise to some fans who had assumed that the pair had already wed earlier this year. Both Portman and Millepied turned up to February’s Academy Awards with big grins on their faces and shiny bands on their ring fingers.
“They were made with recycled platinum and conflict free diamonds,” jeweler Jamie Wolf confirmed about the rings that he’d designed. “Ben was exceptionally thoughtful and dedicated and patient to make sure we had everything right.”
The happy couple originally met on the set of 2010’s “Black Swan,” which Portman starred in and Millepied choreographed.
In February 2011, a pregnant Portman thanked Millepied during her acceptance speech for giving her “the most important role of my life (motherhood).”
Their son Aleph was born in June.
Portman recently spoke out to France’s Madame Figaro magazine about what having a family has meant to her amid the zaniness that is Hollywood.
“Nothing is more important than my personal life,” Portman told the magazine. “It’s something which comes first, always makes sense, and compared to the happiness of a successful family life, everything else is practically superficial.”
